Website Offers Fake Physician's Notes 'assured To Work'

Let's face it; generally you just do not feel like going to work. So maybe you inform a bit white lie and call out sick But that little fib is costing American businesses large bucks.
Based on a Forbes Journal estimate, sick days cost the U.S. economy $273 billion dollars every year. However a business now booming on-line will promote you a custom made doctors note to get you out of labor, school, or just about anything else.
Scroll half way down the house web page and yow will discover several testimonials from what seems like satisfied customers. People who say when they do not feel like logging in on the office, they skip the doctor's office and go browsing to the Internet for a quick get out of labor excuse.
One of the movies posted on You Tube shows a person whose faces is blurred touting how to get a doctors note well the service labored for him.
"Hi, I ordered your notes they usually really worked," the unidentified man says. "I wish to thank you. I wasn't certain [about the imposter notes service] I wanted to do it but my boss modified our sick depart policy and totally screwed me within the process."
One other video testimonial says shows a man who said he skipped work for his daughter's birthday saying, "Your notes were so skilled they usually looked so nice and it worked just fine."
BestFakeDoctorsNotes.net guarantees over 30 phony medical excuses for around $18. The onlinesite gives all kinds of notes from common practitioners, dentists, obstetricians, gynecologists, even oncologists.
And the notes look respectable; the site even boasts a phony emergency room visit note for sick children.
"It might be hard for me to know this is a fake," David Derouen stated in disbelief as he examined one of the notes. "It is actually impossible."
And the netsite could not be any easier to use. Customers present a credit or debit card and within minutes they have entry to over 30 different medical excuses.
All you have to do is type in your name within the clean area supplied and fill out another data together with address and docs name, slap on a messy signature for aesthetics and you have yourself knowledgeable-wanting get-out-of-work excuse.
The site even incorporates a no-price call-back verification characteristic that permits customers to arrange a call-back number and automated voice messaging system.
You can upload a pre-made MP3 file that may sound like an authentic hospital, clinic, or even a doctor's answering machine.
However do the duplicate notes really work?
ABC News four's Jon Bruce hit the streets armed with a one real note from a health care provider on the Medical College of South Carolina and four fakes to find out if everyday folks could spot the difference.
"I think it's this one," said Alexander Lacon, a Faculty of Charleston senior, pointing to one of many notes. "It has the stamp and a verification code."
Lacon like most of the people interviewed for this story chose the imposter note.
"That is loopy," Lacon said. "The one I assumed was the fake one was the real one."
Timothy Hesano, who works on boats for a dwelling and admitted he had called out sick earlier than when he wasn't in poor health, fell for a similar phony note.
"It appeared fairly skilled with all these completely different medical doctors up here. That seems like quite lengthy process to go through for a pretend," he said.
The site prominently includes a disclaimer which state these notes are sold as a novelty product and will not be supposed for illegal use.
So are these sham notes legal to be sold online? ABC News 4 requested local legal professional David Aylor provide his opinion.
"They state clearly that this is fictitious docs and fictitious names, fictitious hospitals," Aylor said. "When you take a look at the promotion of it; what they are promoting is the authenticity of the looking in that it might be used as a form of trickery of an employer getting out of work and getting paid for it."
